A Crafty little Update (VIDEO)

vegan travel and inspiration

I am BEYOND excited to share this next chapter of my creative life with you!

But first a little apology is in order. Agh. Admitting when you’ve messed up is super tricky, not my favorite, but here is goes. I’ve been missing in action and for that I am truly sorry. I so appreciate your support and I don’t take it for granted. I’ve been gone for a good reason though, working on my Youtube Channel. Two weeks ago I posted the first video in my 30 video in 30 day challenge. I have since received a few questions on my Instagram asking if I am leaving the blog for Youtube.

Long story short, I am NOT. I am staying here and find that my dedication and commitment to this happy little spot has been revitalized.

Here are the five realizations I’ve come to that made me realize that vlogging and blogging are my true passions.

#1 YOU GUYS MAKE ME HAPPY. I love sharing my life, art, food and loved ones with you. Your support, encouragement and feedback is the BEST!

#2 EXPERIMENTATION IS WELCOME. On my other social medias I have to keep things consistent but here I let my freak flag fly so high and it is not only tolerated but encouraged.

#3 A HUB FOR ALL OF MY ENDEAVORS. I am dipping my fingers in a lot of pots: Instagram, Youtube, Pinterest, Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Snapchat… it would all fall apart if it wasn’t for this blog, the glue that holds it all together.

#4 IT KEEPS THINGS AUTHENTIC. I am always looking at new ways to stay true to myself and my supporters. This blog keeps me authentic and creative.

#5 WE ARE GROWING. I love seeing the growth. We are slowly growing and evolving. It’s all so exciting!!!

Aloha Friends!

Wow, a lot has happened this past week! We have officially started our Youtube channel. We are SO excited, we can check off one item from our New Years Resolution list. BAM! We have decided to jump into the deep end and try the 30 day challenge, 30 videos in 30 days. Can you believe it?!?!

Today is the first day. We decided to make another CSA post. Do you remember the first CSA Haul that we did? If not make sure to go back and check it out.

This week we received a LOT of greens. Bubba and I have been having so much fun figuring out new recipes that incorporate all of the new produce.

I’ll see you tomorrow with a new video!

Kale Watermelon Green Juice Recipe

Green Juice RecipeRemember when we talked about juice? You know, that time when we got the juicing low down with Juicing 101 and that other time when we made that awesome beginners juice?

Well here we are ready to plunge into the next step and get a little more serious.

I’ve brought in the big guns on this recipe with the G-R-E-E-N-S. Were not hard core just yet. This juice isn’t all greens but their in there, ready to bring goodness to that body of yours. Our first green juice is sweet and doable so give it a go!!!

The only thing that this is missing is one of these rad Stainless Steel Straws

Watermelon Green Juice

  • 1/2 Watermelon
  • 6 leaves of Kale
  • 1 small Lime

  1. Wash kale.
  2. Taste test all of your ingredients. With only three ingredients the taste has to be just right.  Make sure that the watermelon is really ripe and sweet, the kale is fresh and clean tasting and that the lime packs good flavor.
  3. Prep the produce for the Juicer. Cut watermelon into cubes. Take the spine off the kale. Peel the skin off of the lime.
  4. Process watermelon, kale and lime through the Juicer. Stir. Enjoy!

Plant Based Vegan Food Diary (VIDEO)

Friends! We have made our first video for Crafty little Coco. We made a What I Ate In a Day video, my favorite videos to watch on Youtube. I started watching them a year ago when I first considered becoming a plant based vegan. The food inspiration that I got from the videos made me realize that becoming a plant based vegan was fun, easy and tasty. I hope this video does the same for you. Please like, comment, share and subscribe if you would like to see more videos!
